Before I sleep, I whisper to drowsiness
With a desire to remain
Eternal and everlasting
So that I may sing to my beloved every night
And the various melodies may hear me
And tell our stories, like the shy weakness
The ringing of the oath
Between every lover and beloved
And the stem and the leaf, until the flowers bloom
My demise is imminent
In my hands, all I can muster is speech
Freeing the curse with words
The complaint is of the measure of my love
Not of despair
The complaint is of my longing
Not of my anxiety about tomorrow
The complaint is of the abundance of kisses
Not of stinginess
I seal upon the yearning a whispered secret
Between The crookedness of the ribs is the true love
And in the divisions of perception, there is an unending love
About my eternity, my everlastingness
So this time I wish to dwell within you
Even if only in fragments.
