 Final Grip: Echo of Motherhood is a portrait of a psychological precipice, depicting the exact second a human mind fractures to survive the impossible. Having clawed through the rubble with bare, bloodied fingers, a mother commits a final act of unacceptance by substituting rubble for her lost child in a desperate, psychotic stasis. In this frozen moment, the clock has stopped; she remains a mother only as long as she can hear the phantom cry of her child and keep her grip on the heavy weight in her arms. It is a vigil held in the hollow, where once the echo fades and her fingers loosen, the reality of the grave begins.
