My grandmother, with her gilded abaya and the "bastard" that adorned her face, was an authentic image of our rich heritage. Her features reflected wisdom and dignity, and her attire embodied the beauty of Bahraini identity and the spirit of a bygone era. She was a warm presence, filling the place with tranquility and love, and her memory remains a symbol of the authenticity and values passed down from generation to generation.
